Unless it's dark chocolate peanut M & M's, my sweet tooth is pretty much under control- but there is just something fun about Bronco cupcakes that convinces you are these are way tastier than usual.

Bronco Fever Begins

OK. It's actually ALWAYS been around here. Puebloans really love their Broncos, and show it year round - whether they have made it to the Super Bowl or not.  It's fun seeing how fans show their spirit, so this week we dedicate our pictures of the day to our Broncos and their fans...

Colorful, Beautiful, Colorado

Elevation is slightly above 5100 FT from this bluff.

For those who say all of Colorado's beauty and color is up North, we say look again. We captured this view from a bench atop the Staircase Trail on Lake Pueblo's South shore. Even with the chilly wind fighting the warm sun, we didn't want to leave the calm. To the right is Pike's Peak majestic crown that we will share in another photo - today, we just couldn't get over Pueblo's own beautiful blues.

Beacon

We almost chose this photo the other day when we were showing you the cupola on Memorial Hall at night. Thinking this is a great abstract shot we might like to frame. It's one of those "you can't really tell what it is, but if you are from Pueblo, you know you've seen it somewhere"shots.

Shadow Fence

Such bright and sunny days make for a great stroll through this Aberdeen Neighborhood.

We were actually admiring the shadow of the iron fence and how it was cast decoratively on the wall, but we had a visitor while snapping the shot, and it wasn't till just now I see his snout is part of the shadow.

Waiting for Gorganzola

Right. I know what you are thinking. Nonetheless, we spied this scrumptious little guy at the North-side King Soopers. Yep. it's a rarity in town to find a fresh fig and this one was waiting just for us to create a beautiful Fig and Gorgonzola Tart. Come on, think out side the box.

Roadside Rescue Meets Lowe's Display

It all began from a trip to Lowe's and a brave co-hort of mine who enjoys road side rescues as much as I do.

If you have been to the South side Lowe's in recent months, perhaps your eye caught the 2013 Pantone color of the year display as it did mine. Before they rang in 2014 with Vivid Orchid, the color display was a heart pounding Emerald Green. For months I'd pass the display thinking I had to find something to paint this luscious color. A room? A hallway? No, too much color (if there is such a thing). Then this cutie arrived at my doorstep and I immediately saw green. I knew this cafe chair would open the door to my emerald green obsession. And so it has. If it was sitting still in my house, I painted it green. I will post a few other transformed emerald items below to maybe inspire you - to remind you that inspiration is everywhere around you-if you are open to it.
